Revelation 8-10 (Saturday August 2)

What does the book of Revelation mean? If it's real, I mean literal... If the things we read in this book are really going to happen.. and IF you believed they were going to happen, would you make any changes in your life? How about your relationship with Jesus?

Revelation  8:1 "When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour."

Think about this; Heaven, which I don;t think the human mind can really begin to understand the magnitude of, SILENT, for 30 minutes. why?

Next we learn about the first four of the seven trumpets: 1. Vegetation struck 2. The seas struck 3. The water struck 4. The heavens struck. Did you notice that most of these affect 1/3 of the available supply?

Revelation 9 - The 5th and 6th Trumpets

5th- The locusts from the bottomless pit. verse 5 "And they were not given authority to kill them, but to torment them for 5 months." 6 "In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them."

6th Trumpet - The Angels from the Euphrates

There are 4 angels who have been prepared for an exact hour, day, month and year who will be released. Their job? Kill 1/3 of mankind. 

verse 21 "And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immoralities or their thefts." See what's going on here? Even after all this has happened,they choose not to repent of their ways and follow Jesus.
